i turn on the tv
they talk about nuclear war
i switch the channel
they talk about climate catastrophe
i think about it every day
i feel this preassure in my head
what a time to be alive!
and all the big people
with all their big words
they smile and shake hands
over the disaster they caused
i can‘t see how they will fix this
i only see more surveillance
i see more weapons , more borders,
more money and violence!
it seems like there is not much future for us
now i understand what they talked about in the 80‘s…
there is no future
on a dying planet!
there is no future
for us!
i learned about a new thing lately
it‘s called climate depression
and the more i think about it
the less i can understand
why the ones responsible
can still walk home safely
what a time
to be alive
there‘s poison in my food and in the air i breath
so why should i even bother to quit smoking?
it feels like the perfect time to not give a fuck about anything
maybe the bombs will fall before cancer gets me…
there is no future
on a dying planet!
there is no future
for us!
